Go Cycling Maui is a road cycling tour company located in Maui, Hawaii. We have been offering tours to all levels of cyclists for more than 15 years. Thousands of stoked cyclists from all over the world have ridden with us. We offer fully supported tours nearly every day of the year. Each ride is accompanied by one or two guides depending on the size of the group, and one support vehicle. Our group sizes are usually between 3 and 8 riders, and we cater to all levels of cyclists. Everyone is good enough to ride with us. We enjoy riding with beginners as well as professionals. Our goal is to help you experience this amazing island by bike. All of our guides are experienced cyclists and are happy to share cycling tips and local knowledge.
We meet at the Maui Cyclery shop in Pa'ia at 8:00am and get everyone set up and properly adjusted on their bike. We then make sure everyone has all the gear they need for the ride. Don't worry if you forget something, we have anything you may need. Most riders bring their shoes, pedals, cycling computer and clothing. We have helmets, shorts, bibs, jackets, gloves, shoes and pedals if you need them, we try to make it so that you don't have to travel with lots of cycling gear. We start with a ride briefing where we talk about the route, and we get rolling around 8:30am. Our regular rides are around 3 hours of saddle time with 3,500'- 4,500' of elevation gain over 40-50 miles. We have seven different routes--all amazing places to ride. Most days we wait to see what the weather is going to be and what type of ride you looking to do. All rides will include one or two stops to refuel, take pictures, or a stop to enjoy some of the local banana bread. The ride pace is dictated by the clients; we are happy to go fast, slow, or whatever pace you want to ride.
Haleakala Ride: We ride up the Haleakala volcano once a week. We start at the shop and provide guides and support you up to 6,500'. We have to turn back there, but we load you up with all supplies and gear you will need to ride the last 3,523' up and the full 10,023' descent back to the shop. It is the longest paved climb in the world, with a distance of 36 miles at an average of 6% grade. This is not your typical hill climb, and you need to be prepared to be in the saddle for 6-8 hours to tackle this ride.
Contact us to let us know when you'd like to ride and we'll get you on our schedule. We are flexible and can usually accommodate your dates.
